Exam Types
Examinations applied in our department; Midterm exams, excuse examinations, final examinations, make-up examinations, and single-course exams.
Midterm exam: At least one midterm exam is held for each course each semester. The number, scope, format and evaluation principles of mid-term exam are determined by the decision of the faculty board.
Excuse Exam: Students whose valid excuses are accepted by the board of directors can use the midterm examinations within the same semester on the day, place and time determined by the dean. There is no second excuse for make-up exams. There is no excuse examination for the final exams.
Final Exam: The final examination is held at the place and time announced by the deanery at the end of the semester, provided that the attendance condition of the course is fulfilled.
Makeup Exam: Students who can not participate in the final exam or who are not successful in the final exam are entitled to take the makeup exam if they have the right to take the final exam.
Single Course Exam: Students who are in graduation and have failed one course will be given one course exam at the end of the fall and spring semesters. The grade given in the exam will be evaluated without regard to midterm examinations.
Requirements of Exam Entry
To take exams outside the exemption exam; Registration must be renewed, to attend at least 70% of theoretical courses, to attend at least 80% of practical courses and to be successful in practice. If the student has continued at least 70% of the theoretical courses once, he will not have to continue again if he fail the course. In case of failure in practice, the course is taken again.
Course Achievement Grade
Course grade; Is obtained by evaluating the student's midterm and final exam scores together and this result shows the academic success of the student. The net achievement score for a course is obtained with 40% of the average of midterm exams plus 60% of the final exam.If the average grade is 60 and over, the student is considered to be successful in that grade (the final or makeup grade must be at least 60).
