General Information

The Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Science and Arts has started regular education with a student capacity of 30 students in 2009-2010 academic years. The current number of students is 10 (2021-2022).

The Department of Chemistry consists of major branches of Analytical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physical Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. There are four (4) Research Laboratories in Chemistry Department. These are Analytical Chemistry Laboratory, Instrumental Analysis Laboratory, Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory, and Physical Chemistry Laboratory. Instruments such as UV-Vis, AAS, FTIR Spectrophotometers, TG-DTA instrument, DSC, and Gas chromatograph are available in our research laboratories for advanced research.
